What Erin did

Erin braved wind, rain and fog to climb two mountain peaks in one day for Sport Relief 2014. The plucky 12-year-old spent weeks training for this epic challenge.

She had to turn back the first time because she was too ill to carry on, but Erin refused to be beaten. A few months later, she scaled both peaks in less than 16 hours, raising an amazing £200.

Why Erin did it

"I saw all the videos and pictures of children in Africa who were in need of our help and I thought that, if I raised some money, then there would be a time when we wouldn't need to see pictures like this!"

"As parents we're really proud," says Erin's mum. "I think she'd heard on one of the videos that it didn't matter if you thought raising a small amount wouldn't do much, because if lots of people did something then this would be better". Erin's climb certainly has made a world of difference.

...help reunite two children who are living on the streets of India with their family.
